Chelsea Players Classical Performance On Their International Duty
After the start of soccer International break, Chelsea wonderkids have displayed outstanding performance in their respective national teams. Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Edouard Mendy and N’golo Kante all showed a competitive play for their Countries.
Timo Werner continued with his good form for the last 5 matches he has played. The Chelsea forward scored a brace for Germany as they secured a 3-1 win over stubborn Ukraine. Assists from Leon Goretzka and Matthias Ginter made sure the Chelsea stricker appear on the scoreline.

Visitors France stunned Christiano Ronaldo’s Portugal with a 0-1 win thanks to Chelsea’s N’golo Kante’s clinical finish in the 53rd minute of the play. The match meant alot to France as they have advanced to the finals of the UEFA Nations League. Their first meeting produced a goalless draw as the match seemed competitive for each team.
Hakim Ziyech scored twice for Morocco as they thrashed Central African Republic in a 4-1 win in AFCON group E qualification match. Ziyech scored his first goal in the 31st minute from a spot kick after a foul was committed by Central African Republic defense. His second for the match came within 2 minutes later after a superb strike from the Chelsea midfielder.
Edouard Mendy on the other hand kept a clean sheet for Senegal who were playing Guinea Bissau in a group I clash in the AFCON qualifiers. He made an incredible save for a six yard shot from Guinea Bissau’s strike. Since joining Chelsea from Rennes, Mendy has been sensational in the goal posts after successful cleansheets for Chelsea.
Other Chelsea players that featured in the international competitions includes; Mateo Kovacic for Croatia, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Reece James for England, Olivier Giroud for France, Antonio Ruediger for Germany just to name a few.
