Gianni Infantino: Restarting Leagues Soon Will be 'Irresponsible'
With the current state of the world due to this corona Virus Pandemic, Fifa president Gianni Infantino believes it could be too irresponsible to restart league soon because it possesses a thread to a wide audience which still possesses an opportunity for more spread of the virus and thus he thinks it is worth the patience waiting before making up for the decision of commencing leagues again.
It is understood that many of the leagues were deemed to an indefinite pause period in order to protect player’s fans as well as the footballing staff While major tournaments such as euro 2020 and the Copa America have been postponed for one year. This measure was taken to reduce the effects of the Virus as a result of its spread and thus the reaction of the Footballing body President today.
