Lorenzo Pellegrini made sure Pedro Rodriguez scores his first goal for AS Roma after providing him with a superb assist in the 31st minute in his debut against Benevento. Gianluca Caprari opened the scores for Benevento in the 5th minute after an assist from Daam Foulon.

26 minutes later, Roma levelled the scoreline through the 33 year old, Pedro Eliezer Rodriguez Ledesma. After a few minutes Edin Dzeko made sure Roma leads heading to halftime via an assist from Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Benevento secured a penalty just a few minutes after the start of the second halftime which was converted by Gianluca Lapadula. In a blink of an eye, Paulo Fonseca’s boys got a penalty that was scored by Jordan Veretout making the scoreline to be 3-2.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan provided yet another assist for Edin Dzeko making sure Roma bags the crucial 3 points for the match in the 77th minute. Carles Perez made the scoreline to be 5-2 after manipulating an assist from Bryan Cristante.

Roma now sits in the 7th position with a total of 7 points after playing 4 games in the Italy Serie A this season.
