Yusuf Yazici Hat-Trick Humbles AC Milan in Europa League!

AC Milan recorded their first loss this season after a home defeat by France Ligue 1 side, Lille, in the UEFA Europa League match of group H. Yusuf Yazici scored 1 goal in the early minutes of the match to give a halftime lead to Lille. He then added two few minutes after the start of the second half.

The Turkish professional footballer scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute after a foul inside Milan’s penalty box. He thereafter added the second in the 55th minute of the play after finishing a superb assist from teammate Jonathan Ikone. Three minutes later, Yazici surprised Milan with a classy strike after an assist from Jonathan David, a hat-trick for the match.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was substituted in the 62nd minute after his striking position bored no fruits. Milan had an impressive recorded this season having only performed worst with a 3-3 draw with AS Roma in the Italy Serie A. The last recorded loss by Stefano Pioli is back in March after losing to Genoa.

As it stands, Lille leads group H with a total of 7 points followed by AC Milan with 6 points.Celtic still holds the 3rd position after losing 1-4 to Sparta Prague in another match played today. Luckily, the next matches of group H will see Lille welcome AC Milan at Stade Pierre-Mauroy Stadium, in France, on 26th of November, 2020.
